Dezaré Foster has been a Performing Artist for over 20 years. Studying various disciplines including Dance, Theatre, Acting, Vocals, and Musical Instruments. She hopes to continue learning and growing through exploration of the Arts.
Dezaré Foster is a native of Cleveland, OH where she began her education in dance at Newton D. Baker School for the Arts (Sabrina Gregory), and Cleveland School of the Arts (Kenya Woods). At the age of 14, Dezaré went on to become an apprentice with Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre (Michael Medcalf). All the while cultivating her artistry and completing her high school diploma through VirtualSchoolhouse, and choreographing for youth musical theatre productions. She then went on to perform, teach, and choreograph with The Dancing Wheels Company. In 2015, her dance studies continued abroad in Ga'aton, Israel through KCDC's 5 month Dance Journey Program (MASA). A life changing experience.
Over the years, Dezaré has had the honor of working with various choreographers including Dianne McIntyre, Michael Uthoff, Donald McKayle, David Roussève, Lisa K. Lock, Keith Young, Heidi Latsky, Eyal Dadon, Anton Rudakov, and Victoria Marks, to name a few.
In 2016, Foster joined David Roussève/REALITY for "Halfway to Dawn", premiering at REDCAT | Los Angeles, with performances at BAM in Brooklyn, NY, other U.S cities and Panama.
While in Los Angeles, Foster returned to acting. Her first film experience was portraying "Crystal" in the short film "Drag Bottle Dreams" (2008) written and directed by Konnie Austin-Peroune in Cleveland, OH. She also had experience in the background of films FUN SIZE (2012) & The Avengers (2012). Since then Foster has studied acting with Annie Grindlay, Carla Rosati, Jo-Ann Pantoja and Ted Rooney. Foster continues to work on film, tv, and commercial sets in Los Angeles and now Las Vegas.
